Scrubs Star Sarah Chalke Expecting First Child

Although Sarah Chalke plays a conniving character in Lifetime’s four-part miniseries Maneater, the actress, 32, has settled down with her lawyer fiancé Jamie Afifi in real life.
“We are both planning a wedding,” Sarah tells me. “That’s the similarity. But I met my fiancé through friends on a ski trip and she stalked hers after reading he was rich in the paper and planned the wedding before actually having met him.”
Ooh, how was wedding dress shopping?
“I’ve been once, and I fell in love with the dress. I haven’t ordered it yet, but I think it’s the one that I’ll get. It’s totally the opposite of what I thought I would want. I thought I would probably want something a little more simple, but then when you try on those fabulous, big dresses, I fell in love with one.”
This summer, they plan to visit their native Canada.
“There’s so much hiking and biking and kayaking you can do up in Whistler,” she says.
Regardless of whether they’re enjoying an exotic adventure or lazy Sunday at home, they are happiest being together.
“We’re opposite in a lot of ways,” Sarah admits. “That makes a good balance, and we just have so much fun together. We met so many years ago, and we still have a great time together. And I feel like he’s just so there for me. It’s fun to know that no matter what happens, you always have somebody who’s got your back.”
Pick up the OK! on newsstands now to find out how Sarah Chalke chills out. “Brunette Bombshell: Ashley Tisdale” is the cover line. And, tune into Lifestime’s four-part miniseries Maneater beginning Saturday.

Celebs Parody Anti-Gay Marriage Ad
April 21st, 2009
A new ad from The Nation of Marriage making the rounds on YouTube, called "Gathering Storm," features somber, scared-looking people warning others that a storm that is somehow linked to gay marriage is on its way, threatening everyone else.
"The clouds are dark, and the winds are strong," says one person standing in front of a stormy landscape, joined by another adding, "And I am afraid."
"I am a Massachusetts parent helplessly watching public schools teach my son that gay marriage is okay," adds another person.
"My freedom will be taken away," says another, as the ad apparently tries to link the idea that giving rights to one group of people will obviously make others unable to live their lives as they usually do or ban straight marriage outright.
Now celebs like Sophia Bush, Sarah Chalke, Lance Bass, Jason Lewis, Alicia Silverstone and George Takei are fighting back with humor, in their FunnyOrDie.com parody on the ad, called "The Gaythering Storm."

90210’s Noureen DeWulf joins Maneaters
February 18th, 2009
Working on 90210 seems to be a great jumping point into film and mini-series.
Along with the news that series stars Annalynne McCord and Brandon Michael Vayda are up for roles in the Twilight sequel, (read more Twilight secrets in the new issue of OK!, out Thursday), the TV Fanatic has learned that 90210 guest star Noureen DeWulf has been cast in Maneaters, a Lifetime mini-series about to start production in Arizona.
Based on a book by The Starter Wife author Gigi Levangie Grazer, Maneater tells the story of Clarissa (played by Scrubs’ Sarah Chalke) who’s used her beauty and wits to land the hottest producer in Hollywood.
Noureen plays Polo, a stunning young woman who believes she is suffering from a myriad of medical ailments and is always seeking out the hottest new cure.
No doubt, we’ll be taking a bite of out this mini-series!
