‘Sarah’s Fine Without George,’ Says Friend

June 28th, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

It would take a lot of women a lifetime to get over George Clooney.

But star designer Christian Audigier says that when he saw Clooney’s ex just two weeks after the break up, she was just fine.

In fact, he said former cocktail waitress Sarah Larson is doing so well you wouldn’t even know she’d just split up with Gorgeous George!

Larson became the envy of millions back in September after the pair hooked up while she was serving drinks at the Whiskey Bar in Las Vegas.

There was even talk that she would be the one to finally marry the long-term bachelor.

But they split suddenly at the end of last month.

And French designer Audigier, 50, says that by the time Sarah, who is the face of his latest ad campaign, walked into his studio on June 17, she was all smiles.

"She seems really ok, actually. She smiles, she is young, fresh, beautiful. She was not looking hurt by what happened to her at all.

"To be honest with you, you don’t even know she was the girlfriend of George Clooney to meet her!"

Audigier, who opens his new club Christian Audigier: The Nightclub in Vegas on July 4, said that it took a while for the novice model to get used to the camera on her first shoot.

"She’s beautiful," he said. "[But] she needs to work with it. At first it was difficult to get the smile and attitude, but after some warm up she was better.

"We have got the right picture."

Source: George Clooney Engaged!

May 23rd, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Even though George Clooney has famously stated that he would never marry again, following the dissolution of his 4-year marriage to actress Talia Balsam, sources close to the actor reveal to OK! that he has finally popped the question to girlfriend, model Sarah Larson!

The source says that the Oscar-winner proposed to his gal-pal some time around his May 6 birthday. Which would be the perfect day for the couple, seeing how they first met, but didn’t start dating, on his birthday several years ago. Sarah, then a waitress at L.A.’s Whiskey Bar, tended to Clooney and his pals. Though there was a connection, she had a boyfriend at the time so nothing happened.

Fast-forward to June 2007, when George visited Las Vegas for the premiere of Ocean’s 13 and looked up Sarah, who was then working at Moon nightclub.

Talking about his bachelor behavior, the actor/director once said, "I’m so selfish… I’ve settled into a very comfortable lifestyle and I really don’t want to change things. I’ve learnt enough about myself to know that my work is the main thing which drives me and whatever woman comes into my life is going to have deal with that, which isn’t easy."

Scarlett Johansson shows off her engagement ring as she strides into the annual Costume Institute Gala during the superhero-themed soiree held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

The 23-year-old beauty is the belle of the ball, and everyone including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Eva Longoria Parker, TomKat, the Beckhams and more will congratulate her on the milestone.

Meanwhile, throngs of reporters are camped out on either side of the steps hoping to capture the attention of Hollywood’s brightest stars. Tom Cruise waves as Katie Homes beams while Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Sarah Larson make their way into the party.

How did regal-looking Victoria Beckham pick out her dress?

Mr. Armani picked it out for me,” Posh says, turning around before she goes into the event. “I love it.”

Fergie’s ponytail is in full swing as Donald Trump (and his hair) plus wife Melania and daughter Ivanka stroll through.

What superpower would Taylor Swift most enjoy?

“I’d want to see what people were thinking in a subtitle underneath what they were saying,” she says. “That would be fantastic.”

Diane Kruger’s inspiration for her dress is She-Ra, the Princess Warrior. “I feel very sexy.” Her boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, longs for the ability to fly. “Just to be able to get around the lines at the airport. It would shave hours off the trip.”

When Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively is asked what she would do if she lost her Ralph Lauren bracelet, her rep chimes in. “She’s very responsible. She never loses things.” Blake laughs nervously. Her rumored beau, Penn Badgely, says he needs to draw the line between his personal and private life. (Good move) But he agrees that Blake looks beautiful tonight.

Ellen Barkin and Lauren Hutton blush as they reveal their secrets to aging well. “I feel like I’m in high drag,” Lauren says. Chris Noth expresses an affinity for the Fantastic Four … Hayden Christensen (with Rachel Bilson) gives props to Superman … Amanda Peet is loving The Hulk … Mischa Barton’s favorite is Wonder Woman … and Emily Mortimer goes for Flash Gordon. “He’s the campest,” she says. Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick prefers Batman. “He’s the only superhero that actually exists.”

Helena Christensen can’t wait to go inside.

“There’s something very magical about tonight,” she says.

Sarah Larson Reflects on Life with George

April 29th, 2008

Sarah Larson is nobody without George Clooney, and she knows it!

The aspiring model says she only spies the ruthless and relentless paparazzi when her famous beau is around.

“That only happens when I’m with George,” Sarah tells Extra. “If I’m by myself, I seem to get away so far.”

That may change soon though, just like the rest of her life has. A year ago, she was a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas living in anonymity and these days she’s on tabloid covers and modeling for Ocean Drive magazine.

“I really like my privacy, so having it unearthed is a little different!”

Since she’s now in the spotlight, the 28-year-old must deal with the obligatory rumor mill as well. There’s been so much talk about her and George, from moving in together to getting married, that the former Fear Factor contestant says she’s “lost track” of some of the gossip.

“I just came to the realization that some people are just going to say stuff and you just have to brush it off I guess!" Sarah says. "I try not to pay attention to most of the gossipy rumors.”

For more on Sarah, tune in to Extra tonight!

Sarah Larson Opens Up About Clooney Romance

April 11th, 2008

George Clooney and Sarah Larson’s romance was a long time coming.

While it’s been widely reported that the lovebirds first met at the Ocean’s Thirteen premiere at Palms Casino in Las Vegas last year, the 28-year-old former cocktail waitress reveals that the two first crossed paths years back.

"It was on his birthday three or four years ago at Whiskey at Green Valley Ranch [in Las Vegas]," she tells the Las Vegas Review Journal.

George was gallivanting with some pals, including Rande Gerber, owner of Whiskey and better known as Cindy Crawford’s husband, “and I was with some friends,” Sarah continues. "We were all dancing, taking pictures, being silly."

Nothing came of that moment as Sarah, a former Fear Factor contestant, was seeing someone else at the time.

Cut to June 2007 when the Oscar winner came to town to premiere his heist flick and called the brunette up.

"He heard I was working at Moon [nightclub]," she says and after he tracked her down, "we hung out.”

Things got serious quite quickly for the two – a month later, George whisked her away to his home in Lake Como, Italy, where the couple will retreat to next month to celebrate the actor’s 47th birthday (on May 6) and to kick-start Sarah’s modeling career.

“We’ll be in Como, which isn’t that far from Milano," she says.

Her beau is more than supportive of her career aspirations, Sarah, who modeled a swimsuit at L.A. Fashion Week, says.

"Your boyfriend better be. If they aren’t, you gotta kick ‘em in the butt and walk away."

Sarah Larson Plays House

April 10th, 2008

It’s getting serious between George Clooney and Sarah Larson!

The former cocktail waitress has been setting up house in her beau’s bachelor pad while the actor has been out on a whistle-top tour promoting his football flick Leatherheads.

“She’s not trying to take over the house,” a friend of the couple tells OK!. “It’s still very much George’s place, but she’s got her clothes there and she thought these would be nice.”

So far, the 28-year-old has added some feminine touches to home, including Jo Malone candles and fresh flowers.

And how does George feel about the new additions, not to mention, scents?

He loves them, according to the source, so much so that the 46-year-old has been joking to his hotelier friend Rande Gerber that finally his home — whose last guest was his late pet pig Max — finally smells good!

Denied: George Clooney Not Engaged

March 10th, 2008 / Author: cwillett

Is George Clooney finally taking the plunge?

The answer is a resounding "no."

Despite reports to the contrary, the actor has no plans to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Sarah Larson, a rep tells OK!.

"These reports are not true," George’s rep tells OK!.

The famously single bachelor was rumored to have popped the question to his 28-year-old lady, according to UK Marie Claire, which quoted restaurant worker in Laglio, Italy, (where the 46-year-old Oscar winner owns a villa) with the scoop.

"They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged."

Since his divorce with actress Talia Balsam in 1993, George has vowed to stay single and childless.

George Clooney, Jennifer Garner Wow At National Board of Review Awards

January 24th, 2008

George Clooney, with girlfriend Sarah Larson in tow, yuks it up with everyone he can at the National Board of Review Awards, where he is being honored for best actor in Michael Clayton.

He grabs my arm and gives me a knowing wink. Where does he keep his awards? “I have a room,” he says. “I actually have a room. I have one [award].”

How does he feel about the acclaim for his role? “It’s definitely better than feeling terrible about it later,” self-deprecating George says.

What does co-star Tilda Swinton think of the couple? “I love Sarah,” she says. “She’s a beautiful girl, really beautiful. I never knew him before he was with her, but he seems pretty happy to me.”

Here’s the mesmerizing Jennifer Garner. When a Spanish TV presenter from Calle Que Calle asks Mrs. Affleck if he can kiss her hand, she obliges. As she lifts her blinged-out hand, Jennifer coos, “bless your heart.”

Hubby Ben, who wins best directorial debut for Gone Baby Gone, moves through separately. His best supporting actor brother Casey’s lips are sealed about his new baby.

Best actress winner Julie Christie isn’t sure if her jewels are Bvlgari – or if they’re even real — while Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones sail through.

Honoree Javier Bardem is thrilled to see his old buddy from Spain’s Calle Que Calle, who whips out a fake Oscar in case the prestigious awards show doesn’t happen due to the writers’ strike.

Denzel Washington, who accompanies his Great Debaters co-star Jurnee Smollett, says the cast “picked themselves. They stood out. It was a good feeling.”

Meanwhile, Emily Mortimer doesn’t feel badly about leaving her son Sam, 4, with their “fabulous” Serbian au pair. “He’s pleased when we go out because he gets to stay up late and have fun with her,” Mrs. Alessandro Nivola says.

Best director winner Tim Burton has a little one at home, too. How’s the month-old daughter he shares with Helena Bonham Carter? “Good, I think,” he tells me.

Speaking of family, here’s Glenn Close and her 20-year-old daughter Annie. Does she like coming to these events?

“It’s very good,” Annie laughs. “I’m blinded, but it’s great.”

Oh, and here’s Phil Donahue and wife Marlo Thomas. “Our film is titled Body of War,” he tells me. “It’ll be in a theater near you soon, and I hope you’ll come. I’ll park your car.”

What an offer!

Quick Notes

September 7th, 2007

Toronto is such a cute city! One thing I love the most is that like NYC, it’s so walkable, full of shops, sidewalk cafes and has a great mix of modern and historic architecture. This week it also has a healthy dose of celebrity.A few quick notes so far…-

Terrance Howard’s movie with Jodie Foster premiered at the festival opening night. The film is called “The Brave One,” but on the red carpet the Oscar winner said, “I’m a chicken,” and admitted he was afraid of the dark till he was 25-years-old!
-I think Hilary Duff is staying at the hotel where I’m staying. Walking back I saw her and her Candian NFL-player beau Mike Comrie getting into an SUV. I like that couple. Hopefully having a good guy like him has softened the blow of seeing her longtime boyfriend Joel Madden about to become a father with his new girlfriend Nicole Richie.
-I’m told George Clooney, who’s promoting his film “Michael Clayton” at the festival, is bringing a date - 28-year-old Sarah Larson. The pretty brunette was also on George’s arm at the recent Venice and Deuville film festivals and had become his regular companion since they met Sarah while she was waitressing at MOON Nightclub in Las Vegas. George’s friend Matt Damon met his wife Luciana when she was a waitress in Miami - and then he married her, had a kid and has looked utterly blissful since. But, is Sarah a film festival fling -or the girl who can convert George from his longtime confirmed bachelor status.
