The Hangover That Came From Outer Space

June 16th, 2009

Last night, a star of the The Hangover — which has been top at box office for two weeks now — told OK! the movie’s success had come as a shock.

"It’s a total surprise," said Bradley Cooper at the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards. "We’re psyched though."

So psyched, in fact, that the guys behind the romp about a bachelor party gone horribly wrong are already gearing up for the sequel.

"We’re going to shoot it next fall," he told Extra at the same event.

"In two falls… We’ve gotta go to space or something. Some weird things got to happen [to top original].We’ll probably lose [Justin Bartha's character] Doug again. I hope we lose Doug again. That’d be fun."

Extra’s interview with Bradley Cooper airs tonight and for more on that story, log onto Extratv.com.

Bye Bye, Mr. Big?

April 28th, 2009

There will be shoes, of course. And Michelle Obama — sort of. But what about Mr. Big?

As we await the Sex and the City sequel — due in May 2010 — we couldn’t help but wonder about all those rumors burning up the Internet. The storyline reportedly relocates Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) to London, where hubby Big (Chris Noth) takes a job — and may or may not cheat on Carrie, who may or may not be pregnant.

One problem: earlier reports indicated Mr. Big had yet to sign on to the project, as an insider told OK!, “He wants a piece of the profits. He knows the plots don’t work without him.”

Rest easy, ladies and gents, E! News reports that SJP herself confirmed that he has indeed signed on (We can practically feel the air from relieved sighs). She assured E! at last night’s Wonderful World premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.

As for the baby story line, Sarah Jessica is in the dark as well, saying, "I don’t know anything yet."

So where does the first lady come in? Charlotte (Kristin Davis) says of a dress, “I got this at J. Crew,” explaining that she saw it on Mrs. Obama and “had to have it.” Last, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) gets buried in the economic collapse, so maybe there won’t be shoes after all.

Chris Noth’s Big Dreams For SATC2

April 5th, 2009

While the rest of the civilized world can’t wait to find out what becomes of the marriage between Sex and the City’s Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw, Chris Noth seems to have other things on his mind.

Fans of the hit show and feature film may be dreaming of seeing the couple start a family in the upcoming sequel, but the actor who plays one half of the dream couple has quite different hopes. And we suspect they might not be completely selfless.

When OK! asked him what he would love to see his character do in Sex and the City 2, he told us: “A nice cruise down the Turkish coast would be good.”

And that was about all he’d say of the SATC girls’ triumphant return to the big screen, reportedly scheduled for a May 28, 2010 release — but not because he’s trying to hide any inside info.

“I really don’t know anything," he admitted to OK! at the GLAAD Media Awards in NYC. "People keep asking me, but I don’t know anything… I’ll just be excited when I’m there in front of the camera doing it.”

Chris Noth: Big Needs to Get It On!

January 9th, 2009

It’s not just the ladies who get to have fun in Sex and the CityChris Noth wants Mr. Big to get his fair share of bedroom time, should there be a sequel to the movie.

"I would like to see him get it on more," he joked to OK! at the 14th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on Jan. 8 in Santa Monica, Calif. " I will leave that up to them. They always find something really interesting. I like it when they get him to be a little goofy."

However it’s still up in the air as to whether or not Big will get his chance to get between the sheets again with Carrie Bradshaw onscreen, and Chris says he’s just as clueless as everyone else as to SATC’s fate. He does think that all four will come back if there is a sequel.

" I don’t think that any of those girls would not want to do it," he reveals to OK!. "They actually really like each other, and they have a great time. We have a ball doing it, and it looks like it did pretty well. So, we will see."

Chris says he’s also a fan of the way the movie came out, even if it did focus mostly on the ladies.

"I thought that it was much more serious in many ways," he says. "I am glad that we were able to do that. It’s not just about shoes you know, or the underwear."

You’re right, Chris, it’s also about the men of Sex and the City, including Mr. Big, getting a chance for some lovin’!

Kristen Stewart: Over the New Moon

November 25th, 2008

The Twilight saga keeps going and going and….

On Tuesday, the film’s star Kristen Stewart called in to Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show in L.A. and talked about how excited she is to make the sequel to Twilight.

Kristen also revealed some exciting details about the just announced sequel, New Moon, (based on Stephenie Meyer’s book by the same name) saying production will most likely start "in March."

"A lot of the book takes place in Italy, and I think we’re going to get to go to Italy– which is so cool," Stewart, 18, says. "For a while there they were like ‘Oh we don’t know if we have the money,’ but uh, now I think we may have the money," she laughed.

Twilight smashed box office expectations, raking in more than $7 million during its opening weekend. Kristen says she understands fans who are going to see the movie over and over again, and their obsession with the film’s heroine Bella Swan.

"It’s oddly engaging. I mean you read the book and you feel like you are the character," she says. "It’s a totally vicarious experience. She’s [Bella] such a good strong female character. I can understand why girls put themselves in her position."

Of her leading man, Robert Pattinson, Kristen says she knew immediately that he was the one to play the gorgeous and mysterious Edward.

"Everyone came in during the auditions and it was, like, so obvious they were thinking, ‘Am I posing the right way?’ He was thinking about more than that. It was like he knew what it would be like to be a 108-year-old vampire living alone."

She adds, "It’s a pretty serious role. On the surface it’s like, ‘Oh yeah! you’re playing the hottest vampire ever!’ But it’s a lot more than that."

But Kristen says don’t be fooled by R-Patts well-tuned sense of humility!

Of comments Pattinson, 22, has made saying he doesn’t know how to kiss or act, Kristen retorts, "I don’t know why he does that! He gets a kick out of that," she laughs. "He tries to do that..It’s totally contrived and intentional! He’s done so much press I think he’ s just taking the piss now–to use an English expression!"

Kim Cattrall Confirms SATC Sequel

November 6th, 2008

It seems like Carrie and the rest of the Sex and the City girls aren’t quite ready to hang up their Oscar de la Renta dresses!

On the heels of the massively-hyped and highly-anticipated Sex and the City: The Movie, fans will soon get another dose of the fantastic foursome.

After being asked if there will be a sequel to the box office hit, Kim Cattrall replied with an emphatic, "Yes there will!" on Britain’s The Paul O’Grady show.

Previous reports quoted a spokesperson for New Line Cinema saying that the studio was "in negotiations for a sequel," but it seems those talks have reached a solid conclusion… more sex, more city, and probably, more Mr. Big!

Kim had previously said that she was happy to return to being a part of the SATC family of characters, so it’s no surprise she’s excited about the sequel!

"That’s how I am like Samantha — I just want to do it again. Insatiable!" she told Entertainment Weekly before the first movie debuted.

Cattrall had recently told reporters, "The movie was so much fun to do and be part of again. I hope we’re going to do it again."

Terrence Howard on Iron Man Ouster

October 20th, 2008

As the industry publication Hollywood Reporter recently reported, Don Cheadle will apparently be replacing Terrence Howard in the next Iron Man movie as Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark’s best friend, in a switch-up that has even the actors themselves confused.

"It was the surprise of a lifetime," Terrence tells NPR, sounding none too pleased. "There was no explanation. [The contract] just…up and vanished. I read something in the trades implicating that it was about money or something, but apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on, sometimes. Promises aren’t kept, and good faith negotiations aren’t always held up."

However all may not yet be set in stone, as Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige told MTV News.

“As is the policy with most people, when you talk about dotting I’s and crossing T’s, certainly that isn’t the case yet on a number of things we’re doing,” he says. “But that [Hollywood Reporter story] was not an announcement. That was, as it tends to happen in the business, is rumors and leaks and things like that. I do think there will be clarity soon.”

Do tell – we’re sure Terrence would be interested in any further developments involving his own career..
