Roman Polanski Wants His Record Cleared

30 years after he was charged with having sex with a teenage girl, Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski wants the case dismissed.

Polanski filed a request to have the child-sex charge against him tossed out, according to the AP. His lawyers claim a documentary about the director that was released this year revealed "misconduct and improper communications" between the judge and prosecutors in the case.

Polanski, whose wife Sharon Tate was brutally murdered by the Charlie Manson family in 1969, fled the country in 1978 and has been living in Europe ever since.

He won an Academy Award in 2002 for directing The Pianist, but skipped the ceremony for fear of being arrested.
 

Brangelina Behind Closed Doors

Asked at a Nov. 5 taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show about whether Angelina Jolie was thelove of his life, Brad Pitt responded, “Dare I say.” Acknowledging his joy, the TV queen replied, “Dare I see!”

Indeed, thanks to Angelina, Brad has every reason to be smiling. Even with six kids running around the house, the mother of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, always makes it a point to take care of her man – though she admits that finding alone time in the bedroom isn’t always easy.
 
The kids do knock before entering,” Angelina recently told W magazine. “We’ve at least got that part down. Because Mommy and Daddy do need some space.”
 
One place the busy couple manages to get their space is in the tub, an activity more about making conversation than making love.
 
"I don’t know how he does it, but I talk a lot in the bath,” she revealed to Marie Claire in July. “It’s easier to talk when you’re naked.”
 
And easier to do quite a few other things, as well. During his Oprah Winfrey interview, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star admitted that he and Angelina will likely have more children. Parenthood “is the greatest thing I’ve ever taken on,” he  declared. “Why stop now?”
 
But even pregnancy can’t get in the way of the couple’s adult-only fun. “It’s great for the sex life,” Angelina has said. “It just makes you a lot more creative.”

Teen Pregnancy: Hollywood’s Fault

Forget about safe sex, the pill and abstinence – according to a new study, a new form of birth control could be parents turning off whatever their kids are watching.

 

Researachers at the RAND organization say that a three-year study of teens and their TV-watching behavior shows that those who watch shows with sexy content are more likely to become pregnant earlier than their peers, according to Reuters.

 

"Our findings suggest that television may play a significant role in the high rates of teenage pregnancy in the United States," said Anita Chandra, one of the behavioral scientist swho led the research.

 

While Hollywood can’t take all the blame, its stars are used to the criticism that they help glamorize teen pregnancies. Highly-profile young moms like Jamie Lynn Spears and Bristol Palin and movies like Juno are often pointed at as contributing to the problem.

 

"I was getting contacted by so many people regarding the plight of young pregnancy that I was beginning to think I was the leading obstetrician in this country or something," Juno writer Diablo Cody recently said said at the MTV Networks Election Effect Panel Discussion in NYC.

Selena Gomez: “No Sex Until Marriage”

The star of Disney’s latest hit Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez, is staying a virgin until marriage, and she’s not afraid to admit it.

The 15-year old actress caught up with Extra on the set of her Seventeen Magazine shoot, where she said that she plans to practice abstinence until she says ‘I do,’ even asking her dad to give her a promise ring as a reminder of her personal vow.

"I said, ‘Dad, I want a promise ring.’ He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids," she says.

Selena, who is being hailed as the new Miley Cyrus, says waiting to have sex is not only a promise to herself, but to those who love her.

"I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family, and to God," she says.

Ethan Hawke Brings Nanny to ‘The Take’

Ethan Hawke and the nanny-expecting-his-child quietly sneak into the theater while John Leguizamo, Rosie Perez and Ally Sheedy hold court during the Gen Art Film Festival premiere of their crime drama The Take.

Swigging a Stella Artois, John ribs another reporter who dives in and asks about the awkward love scene he shares with Rosie.

“You’re completely naked and you’ve known each other for years,” he says. “It’s like ‘I love you Rosie, forgive me for what I’m about to do to you, please don’t take this the wrong way, but let’s get to it.’ ”

Rosie clomps up. (She’s donning a cast because she broke her toe.)

“He’s the guy that introduced me to my ex-husband,” she says, with her heavy Brooklyn accent in full effect. “I’ve been to both of his weddings. I was the one that got naked first. I was like, ‘John, take off your clothes.’ It’s a very real, honest, raw scene between two people who are married who are going through a difficult time. It doesn’t come off vulgar.”

Eighties Brat Packer Ally genuinely impresses. What does she make of fame 2008-style?

“I think it’s much harder for a young actor now than it was in the ’80s,” she says. “It was much more low key. You would go to an event like this, it would be very exciting and you would go home. It would be for weeks, nothing, and then work. It’s such a different world. I don’t know if I could navigate it personally. I don’t know how I would’ve turned out if I had to walk through that.”

Director Brad Furman tells me they had 18 days to shoot this million-dollar movie. “We ran around like crazy people and got what we had to get. We were in East L.A. and we jumped on trains and planes. We were chased by the police and my crew was maced. John was running through East L.A. with Tyrese with guns. It was pretty wild.”

After the screening, Ethan and his gal head to the afterparty at Spotlight Live to hear MGMT play.

Are They or Aren’t They? Pam & Rick Fuel Wedding Whispers

The Internet was abuzz this weekend with rumor, speculation, “reports” and denials surrounding possible nuptials between Pam Anderson and Rick Salomon, the man most famous for starring in and filming the infamous Paris Hilton sex tape, One Night in Paris. (Oh yeah… he also used to be married to Shannen Doherty too.)

Sunday morning found online rumor mills claiming that the 40-year-old Baywatch babe—who recently spent a total of less than four months married to Kid Rock—and Rick were wed on Saturday in Sin City. However, as the day proceeded, it became clear that no official ceremony had occurred. “She’s not married,” was the terse denial from Pam’s rep to OK!.

Pam has a history of quickie, on-the-fly weddings, and TMZ.com is reporting that the pair did indeed apply for, and were granted, a marriage license on Saturday in Las Vegas, where Pam has been reviving her career as a showgirl assistant to illusionist Hans Klok. When it came time for “I Do,” one source close to Pam tells OK!, there was a case of cold feet. “In the end, they decided to not go through with it right away,” the source explains. “So they just flew back to L.A. to think things over.”

The pair were photographed walking along the beach in Malibu on Sunday morning — no wedding rings visible.
