After Travis Barker took to his official Twitter page today with some musings on motherhood, Shanna Moakler’s rep has responded exclusively to OK! as to whether the rocker was talking about his ex.
As Perez Hilton reported, Travis writes: "Kids are not to be used as weapons. Deadbeat moms that sleep all day,seeking money, attention like 2 do so. Just hurts the kids in the end. Giving birth 2 a child doesn’t make u a good mom. Taking care of them, loving them,waking up with them, spending time with them does."
Shanna’s rep tells OK! exclusively: "As I’ve said before Shanna is not going to play out her personal relationships in the media."
Which means no tweeting on fatherhood for the former Miss USA, we presume.
Former Miss USA, Shanna Moakler, has just resigned as co-executive director of the Miss California pageant. The move comes after Donald Trump announced that Miss California, Carrie Prejean, would keep her crown despite the controversy over the semi-nude pictures of her circulating online.
The former beauty queen released a statement to Perez Hilton, saying: ,
"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization. I can not with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth. I want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams."
This weekend, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, started a whirlwind of controversy by her response in the interview portion of the Miss USA pageant, when she said marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Perez Hilton had asked whether more states should allow gay marriage, and why or why not.
While news pundits and experts are busy debating and interviewing Prejean, a tried and true pageant expert, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, is also weighing in on her blog.
As the pageant director the Miss California competition, Shanna had been promoting Prejean in Las Vegas leading up to the event, and now she feels the need to clear things up from her perspective.
"Well, I just got back from a interview at CBS, and I can say after not sleeping for about 2 days and trying to sum up emotions in a 30 second interview wasn’t easy, I wanted to take to my blog so I can put into words my thoughts and feelings, I find writing is best for me anyway," she writes on her official blog.
"First, I want to be clear on the fact, that I have NOT and will not abandon our reigning Miss California, thou I have a STRONG difference of opinion, I do NOT hate her, nor do I have any issue with her stating her opinion, she is not the first conservative christian titleholder to be in pageants. I agree with the majority that this IS what makes our country great and that is of course freedom of speech. She was asked a questioned and she answered it.
But I want to explain to the masses, what the TITLE of Miss USA stands for to me, and being a former Miss USA, I feel I have a pretty good sense of it. Miss USA travels the world and she competes at the Miss UNIVERSE pageant as a representation of her country. She is a ambassador, a role model and needs to be able to show diplomacy on all issues. sadly for California THIS is where we lost the crown. Not for her answer or even her beliefs, because again, sadly IN California her beliefs at this point in time are the majority. But she lost the crown because she wasn’t able to convey compassion for ALL the people that as MISS USA she would be representing. and if YOU like it or not, gays and lesbians make up this country as well. THIS is why we have judges so they can find the RIGHT woman who obtains these qualities. they are crucial in my eyes when holding a honor and title as big as being Miss USA. The panel of judges was qualified and did their job, they represented all of us, men, woman, black, white, gay and straight.
I think Miss California’s willingness to stand by her convictions and ( in my eyes, simply made the question more personal then it needed to be,) has in essence made a great positive impact cause it has brought a issue important to me to the for front of the media and that is civil rights. I have blogged and petitioned for gay rights in the past and if anything positive can come out of this, It’s that it has people talking and we need to have people talking and we need MANY conversations on this topic to take place, especially in the state of California and with Prop 8.
I do however want to apologize to the men and woman who have continually supported the Miss California USA pageant. I know some were hurt and felt a sense of betrayal, but I thank you for your understanding, communication, love and continued support.

Perhaps now that he and his Blink-182 bandmates have officially decided to reunite, Travis Barker has decided to make it clear that he and sorta-ex-wife Shanna Moakler are once again a couple.
Though the pair have been quiet about their recent reconciliation, there was no doubt about their couple-hood on Friday night, when Shanna and Travis partied together in public to celebrate the former Playboy model’s 34th birthday.
According to witnesses at Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills, the no-longer-exes arrived together at the restaurant around 8 p.m. on Friday, and joined a group of about 20 friends in the private upstairs room.
Travis and Shanna, whose actual birthday is Saturday, sat at the head of the table. Witnesses describe the mood of the party as "very subdued… Nothing really rock ‘n roll about this bunch. There was no music playing other than the house music piped in from the restaurant."

The table was adorned with a long vertical centerpiece of white roses, lilies and hyacinths, with two bouquets finishing it off at each end. White, cream and lavender balloons were attached to the chairs.
The couple borrowed Dr. Dre’s longtime bodyguard for the night, while the superstar rapper was away in Las Vegas on business. The guard ushered the couple and some friends into a limo SUV at about 12:30 p.m. and took the group to My House in Hollywood, where they stayed until closing.
The meal for the birthday bash included tapas (ahi tuna tacos, short rib skewers, shrimp mousse, lobster lollipops), An’s famous Garlic Noodles with sauteed prawns, whole-roased cracked crab with An’s garlic sauce and secret spices, Chilean sea bass with steamed scallion and ginger sauce, whole Maine lobster with An’s famous Garlic Noodles, filet mignon with ponzu glaze over mashed potatoes and cipollini onions. Dessert was a "Molten Chocolate Lava Cake" from Sweet Lady Jane’s.
Travis an Shanna married in Oct. 2004 and have two children, Landon, 5, and 3-year-old Alabama. She filed for divorce from the rock star in 2006 after his rumored romance with Paris Hilton became public. However, despite at least two reconciliations — and subsequent splits — the couple have yet to officially divorce.
Mario Lopez, with a little help from some of his famous friends, is clearing the air about some of those stereotypes he’s been painted with over the years.

But now, in a new E! True Hollywood Story set to air Friday night, Lopez reveals he’s not exactly what people have made him out to be, dishing on everything from where he and Landry went wrong, to what he really wants out of life.
"To cut through all the other bulls**t and all the other stuff, here’s the thing: Ali is an amazing woman, great person. She’ll always have a special place in my heart," Lopez says. "Just didn’t work out with us. I mean, everybody’s been in relationships where it hasn’t worked out, but you know, we were both young and sometimes people just get along better as friends."

The couple broke up last summer, but the two dated for nearly two years. Mario’s close pal and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria-Parker defends him, saying, "He’s a mama’s boy, loves his mom. His mom is one of the most important things in his life. He looks like the fun guy that goes out and dates women and he’s not. I think the biggest misconception is that’s he’s this playboy and that’s he’s going to be the ultimate bachelor, and that’s not what he wants. He’s wants a family and he wants a wife."

Shanna Moakler is opening up about the horrific plane crash that killed four people and severely injured her ex-husband, Travis Barker.
In her first interview since the crash, the former Miss USA tells Extra how she first heard the news, and how Barker ultimately survived.
"I just got that phone call that you dread getting in the middle of the night," she says. "I actually thought when the phone rang, that it was Travis saying, ‘Oh, we landed in L.A. and I’m coming home to you babe.’"
Moakler, who has an on-again, off-again relationship with Barker, says when she first saw him in the hospital, they "both cried. We were really happy to see one another," she says. Of the six people on the plane that night (two pilots and four passengers), only Travis and DJ friend Adam Goldstein survived.
"They were in the back of the plane and Travis remembered where the emergency exit was," she says, adding, "It’s miraculous."
Oddly enough, Moakler says Travis–who hated flying– had a bad feeling about the flight the night of the crash.
"Before he left, he had taken pictures of the plane and sent them to me," she recalls. "He said, ‘I don’t have a good feeling about this plane.’ I said, ‘Please be safe.’ He had a feeling something was about to happen."
Roughly a month later, Moakler says Barker is doing well and "is starting to excercise, do therapy. So hopefully we will see a big AM/Travis show in the future." She adds, "We’re probably not going to be flying anytime soon, at all. We are going to invest in a tour bus."
As for the couple’s relationship today, Moakler says, "We’re parents first. Travis is my family and he always will be my family. I have a profound love for him. I’ve learned that I am very appreciative and thankful for Travis in my life."
When it comes to the topic of remarriage, the former beauty queen says, "I don’t know," but adds that she’d love to have more kids. "I’m kind of crazy. I’d actually love two more but I think just one–one and I’m going to be done."

Earlier in the night, Gerard jumped behind the bar to do some tending — though some partygoers say he probably shouldn’t give up his day job.
"A couple of girls ordered martinis and Gerard asked, ‘What the f*** is that? Before asking another bartender to make the fancy cocktails," one witness tells OK!.
Gerard stuck to drinks that were straight wine, champagne or Belvedere on the rocks. He also would have been able to muddle his way through making party guest Kirsten Dunst a Belvedere vodka and cranberry juice.
