Tori Spelling’s Touchable Belly

May 14th, 2009

While some stars maintain a big distance from their fans, being pregnant twice really put Tori Spelling in touch with her fans, in a very physical way

"During both pregnancies, people touched my belly a lot," she tells Cookie Magazine in a new interview. "I would never do that to a pregnant woman, it’s a personal thing. And if I did, I’d say, ‘Your belly is so cute, can I touch it?’ But when fans do it, I couldn’t say, ‘Please don’t touch, because then it would be ‘What a bitch!’ At a certain point, I just decided that [my second baby] Stella was getting a lot of love in there."

As for the weight that a pregnancy leaves behind, Tori admits that the pressure to lose it can be a real bummer.

"After I’d given birth to Stella, some woman at the market grabbed my belly and asked when I was due. When she had the flab in her hand, she realized her mistake," she reveals.

That’s when it’s time for a "Do Not Touch the Celebrity" sign!

Tori Too Busy to Think About Her Weight

April 24th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

While people all around the world have recently expressed concern for actress Tori Spelling over what appears to be a dramatic loss of weight, the one person who definitely isn’t paying attention to the headlines is the 90210 star herself.

"At the end of the day, i have two kids and a husband," Tori explained at a Friday afternoon press conference to promote the upcoming season of her reality show. "I have a lot of businesses to run. I don’t have time to deal with whether they think I’m the perfect weight or what they think I should weigh." But before you go and think she’s putting her well-being at risk for the sake of her career, she added, "I want to be healthy for my children."

In fact, said Tori, the only thing on her mind is how these kinds of stories will affest her daughter Stella. "She’s a baby now, but imagine if she were like 15 and going through body image things and turning into a woman and reading this about her mother?" the actress asked. "What would she think? I want to be a positive role model for her so that’s a difficult thing to deal with."

RECENT PICS OF TORI:

Tori also said that she can empathize with young stars like Lindsay Lohan, whose figures are always under intense media scrutiny. "I don’t know what Lindsay Lohan goes through, but it is hard to be crticized in the public," she said. "It’s harder for your family to deal with than you. You kind of get a thick skin but when you have kids and a husband, it’s upsetting."

Speaking of family, Tori did open up a bit on her relationship with her estranged mother Candy. "I think my biggest concern about all that is: I don’t want it to be played out as public as it’s been made," she explained. "If there’s a future — and when she says she wants to see the children, I’m totally open to that — but it needs to be private because I’m a mom and I need to protect them and if she wants to see them, there needs to be a private outreach to me… If she reached out to me, that would not be a part of [my] show."

Tori to Return to 90210?

November 11th, 2008

If Liam McDermott was old enough to complain, he might have a word or two for mom Tori Spelling for dishing about the 1-year-old’s embarrassing moments.

"Someone who shall remain nameles … might have pooped in a public pool," she tells MomLogic.com. "He had his swimmer on, but… things slip out and needless to say, we got out of there quick."

Poor Liam! Hopefully his new little sister Stella will share the burden of embarrassing stories.

Tori says having Liam prepared her for Stella, and things are already easier this time around, including losing that baby weight.

“I just kind of relaxed with it and it seemed to come off easier," she reveals. "I’m just kind of making it a family affair. We’ve gotten the family involved in cooking and working out together because I’m a working mom, full time, so when I have an hour off I don’t really want to leave my kids and go to the gym."

And speaking of being busy, is Tori going to throw some more work into the mix and return as Donna Martin on The CW’s new 90210?

“Who knows what the future will bring. I would love – it if worked out – to reprise my role for the fans.”

Tori Spelling Hopes to Return to ‘90210′

August 13th, 2008

What would a 90210 spinoff be without Brenda, Kelly and Donna?

Tori Spelling, who was rumored to have dropped out of resprising her role as Donna Martin due to a battle over money, says she still plans to appear on the show.

"I was supposed to be in the pilot and then I had Stella [daughter] when they went back into production so it didn’t work out, but I’m hoping [to return] later in the season," she tells Extra in an interview set to air tonight.

Returning to West Beverly High will be just the latest accomplishment in the busy actress’s life. She recently hosted a blowout bash in Las Vegas at Christian Audigier’s nightclub, is getting ready to promote her second book and keeps audiences glued to the TV set with her reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

But the 35-year-old new mom says she keeps her priorities in check– raising her two children, Liam, 1, and baby Stella, 7 weeks, with husband Dean McDermott is always number one.

"Having two is so much better than having one," she said. "Because I get to differentiate between a boy and a girl…At seven weeks, Stella already has a much different personality than Liam and just seeing them bond together is so amazing. It takes your life to a different level."

Spelling says she definitely wants more kids—just not quite yet!

"We would like more…But I think we’ll take a break. Enjoy the ones we have now and enjoy each other and the family unit," she says. "But in the future, it would be nice to have more."

Tori says she’s really excited about her second book, Mommywood. "STori Telling was kind of stories about my life growing up and now it’s kids lives growing up, and me being a mom…Being in the craziness of Hollywood and dealing with that," she says.
