Sunday Rose is All About Vegas, Baby!

April 6th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

Who says you need advanced motor functions to enjoy Sin City? Apparently little Sunday Rose Urban is a big fan of Las Vegas, even if she’s not even a year old yet.

“She loves it," Nicole Kidman told Extra at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards." She’s been out and about. I think because it’s so colorful. It’s big for her. She lives on a farm. This is a big city.”

Nicole, who was right by her hubby Keith Urban’s side to support him at the ceremony, can’t help being proud of her man and his new album, Defying Gravity.

“Sunday and I are his biggest fans. We love it," gushed Nicole, as Keith added, “[They’re my] biggest inspiration, too.”  Awww!

Sunday Rose Has The Hots For Our Boy, Say Liev and Naomi

January 13th, 2009

They might have a combined age of 19 months, but it sounds like the Schreiber-Watts boys are quite the hot toddlers about town – at least if you listen to their mom and dad.

Proud parents Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts joked with uber-cool New York style site Fashion Week Daily that there are a bevy of celebutots who already have designs on 18-month-old Sasha, and one-month-old Samuel.

Leading the crawl, they say, are Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s 6-month-old, Sunday Rose and and Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher’s little lady Olive, who’s one.

"Sunday Rose is after our boy really heavy," he joked at a New York screening of his new movie, Defiance, "and I think it’s kind of weird and early, and I think she should back off, slow down and get her act together before that all happens."

"And Olive’s been after our baby for a while too," he said.

"[But the boys are] going to take their time – they’re young men, they live in New York, they’ve got the world in front of them, lots of things to do before they have to settle down. There’s no rush," he said.

To listen to them, it’s fair to say the couple think their little ones are going to be a real pair of kindergarten casanovas.

For example, take the way Liev describe his oldest son: "Dishy. Is that still a word, dishy? I can say that about my son? The boy is really, really dishy. Really, don’t you think Sasha’s dishy?," he asked Naomi.

"Oh, I think he’s gorgeous," he said. "Like you’d want to make out with him – that kind of guy."

Um, OK, guys – this is getting kind of weird now…

Nicole: “I Squirmed When I Saw Australia”

January 9th, 2009

Now here’s something you don’t see everyday – a movie star giving an honest assessment of their work. And not a very complimentary one, either.

Nicole Kidman has said that she ‘can’t feel proud’ of her performance in Baz Luhrmann’s epic Australia.

In fact, she says she "couldn’t connect emotionally" to the movie and "squirmed" when she saw herself playing British aristocrat Lady Sarah Ashley at the premiere in Oz!

Remembering the November screening in Sydney, which she attended with husband Keith Urban, the star told 2dayFM, "I can’t look at this movie and be proud of what I’ve done.

"I sat there and I looked at Keith and went ‘Am I any good in this movie?’"

And although she said that her co-star Hugh Jackman was great in the movie, she added, "It’s just impossible for me to connect to it emotionally at all."

Nicole wasn’t alone in her harsh assement. Many critics savaged the film – and it seems that she had an idea what she was in for.

London’s Daily Mail reports that Tom Cruise’s ex was so nervous about her performance, she left the country straight after the premiere with Keith and daughter Sunday Rose, so that she wouldn’t have to face the critics’ response.

"We ran because I didn’t want to read anything. I didn’t want to know," she admitted on air.

How The Stars Are Spending Christmas

December 24th, 2008

Just like families around the globe, the stars have holiday traditions and make every effort to be with their loved ones during this special time of year.

“We have Santa Claus, and Santa Claus, and gifts and more Santa Claus and open fires and a lot of food,” Kate Winslet says. “Nobody gets out of their pajamas for about a week.”

Nicole Kidman is celebrating Sunday Rose’s first Christmas. “We’re having our family come over,” Nicole, who is married to Keith Urban, says. “Lying low. Taking it easy. Lots of food and carols. He plays carols.”

Miley Cyrus hopes to be with boyfriend Justin Gaston. “I love to spend the holidays with all my friends, so that would be nice for us to all have a party,” she says. How will Justin make it special? “Say some prayers and hope she has a good time,” he tells me.

Lavishing six-year-old daughter Sy’rai with gifts is not on Brandy’s agenda. “She’s not going to be spoiled this Christmas because she already has gifts from last Christmas that she has not yet opened. We’re in a recession right now. She’s going to have to chill.”

Maria Menounos will dress up her dogs. “I always dress them up for the holidays,” she says. “They all have their Christmas costumes. I’ve omitted the antlers from my German Shepherd because he took pictures last year and he looked depressed, and my entire family hated me for it. They’re like ‘why did you emasculate him?’”

Ralph Macchio – celebrating on the East Coast — gets two days of Christmas. “We open gifts on Christmas morning, so it’s really old-school. Christmas Eve is at my in-laws, it’s the big Italian fish dinner, and Christmas Day is at my parents with 7,000 grandchildren running around.”

Yonkers Joe star Chazz Palminteri tells me, “Christmas is a holiday I like to have at home. I always have it in my house. I enjoy that. I like having all the family over, and have pasta. My mother-in-law cooks the turkey. I think it’s great. The kids all open up the presents. It’s a great time of the year.”

Lena Olin is trying something new. “We’re going to go to Switzerland – the whole family. We’ll go skiing and have hot chocolate. This is our first year we’re doing that. We always go to Vermont, but this year we want to start a European tradition too.”

Gabrielle Union and Diddy enjoy NYC this time of year. “I love going out to Rockefeller Center and watching people fall on the ice skating rink,” Gabrielle says. Diddy adds, “I keep it shopping at FAO Schwarz.”

Julianne Hough plans to meet up with her famous friends in Tennessee. “There’s a bunch of parties in Nashville, and songwriters will throw parties at their houses and stuff. That’s where I hung out with Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler for the first time last year — at a Christmas party. We’ll probably all bump into each other at some point.”

WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE THE CELEBS THIS CHRISTMAS? Cynthia Nixon is off to California “to get out of the cold weather.” She’ll celebrate with “the usual” traditions. … Wizards of Waverly Place star Jake T. Austin will be in New York play football with his uncle at home. … Ashanti will “probably” see boyfriend Nelly for the holidays. “I’ll be on the beach somewhere,” she tells me. The guys of Lady Antebellum are returning to Georgia while their lead singer Hillary Scott is staying in Tennessee. … Ne-Yo is whooping it up with his sister, mom and grandma in Atlanta. “Last year I ended up having to do a show, and mom’s never going to let me forget that. Mom’s like ‘oh no, no, no,’” he says. “This year was extra important that I got home. It’s going to be our first time spending it in Atlanta, which is our new home.”
