Less than two years after it began, the marriage between platinum-selling R&B singer Usher and wife Tameka Foster is over after the 30-year-old star has filed for divorce in Georgia.
The couple, who are parents to two young boys — Usher Raymond V, 19 months, and 6-month-old Naviyd Ely — were married in August of 2007 after more than two years together.
In February, Tameka had to be placed into a medically induced coma when she suffered from complications during plastic surgery in Brazil.
No reason for the split is specified in the divorce documentation.
Usher’s Wife Recovering After Complications From Surgery

Usher’s wife, Tameka Foster, is recovering in a Brazilian hospital after suffering serious complications during routine surgery, according to the singer’s publicist.
However, despite the family’s demand for privacy, the Brazilian media has uncovered some details about what went wrong.
Brazilian news website G1 is reporting that Foster, 38, was rushed to the Sirio-Libanes Hospital’s intensive care unit last Friday after a medical emergency during a liposuction operation. Foster reportedly suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest as she was being anesthetized for the procedure. She was put into an induced coma for 24 hours and was now recovering, according to the website.
G1 reported that a US neuro-surgeon from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Gabriel Hunt, was handling her case. He left the Sao Paulo hospital late Monday without giving comment.
A spokesperson for Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo told AFP, "The family has demanded total privacy. The hospital is barred from giving any information."
Usher’s spokeswoman, Simone Smalls, tells OK! that Tameka "is in stable condition. Her husband is with her at the hospital. The family requests privacy at this difficult time." Smalls confirmed that Foster had been admitted to the facility, which is considered the top hospital in Brazil, saying she was "suffered complications from routine surgery in Brazil." Usher, 30, has cancelled concerts in the U.S. and rushed to Brazil to be by his wife’s side.

The R & B singer is cracking down on illegal t-shirt vendors who will be selling bootleg shirts outside of her New York concert with Jay-Z tonight. “She is suing John Does and Jane Does numbered 1 through 100 ,so law enforcement can confiscate the bogus stuff as they are selling it,” a source told Page Six.
Usher’s new-ish wife Tameka Foster took over on his most recent video shoot for the song "Love in the Club." Foster was “domineering” and took over the shoot, purposely dressing the video’s lead girl, singer Keri Hilson, badly. "She looked like an extra. Tameka wouldn’t let Keri have her hairdresser there. She had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras,” a source told Page Six. Usher’s manager Benny Medina responded to the accusations by saying that “Keri could not have been happier. …The shoot went brilliantly.”

Usher’s baby boy is finally here!
The singer’s wife, Tameka Foster, gave birth in Atlanta at 9:55 p.m. on Monday night. Their son — who weighed seven pounds, nine ounces — is the couple’s first child, although Tameka, 37, has three children from her previous marriage. “We are so proud of our beautiful son,” Usher says of their bundle of joy. “What a blessing.”
The 29-year-old superstar, who announced his child’s sex in September, had long expressed his hope for a son. Although the child’s name has not been revealed yet, the singer explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in August that he wants to pass on his name.
“If it’s a boy, I’m going to name him Usher,” he said. “I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth. Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on.”
Usher and Tameka, a stylist, tied the knot in a private ceremony in August after nixing their Hamptons nuptials a week prior.
Usher’s Unforgivable Women

Following hot on the heels of last week’s launch of Diddy’s newest fragrance, Unforgivable Woman, platinum-selling singer Usher became the latest musician to enter the scent market, with his aptly named "Usher."
“Diddy has been so supportive of me,” Usher revealed to OK! when we caught up with him at NYC’s Cipriani’s 23rd Street for the party to celebrate the fragrance’s release. And with such support from his hip-hop entrepreneur pal, Usher also tells OK! that he’d have no problem with his new bride Tameka Foster wearing Unforgivable Woman. “I can’t stop her,” he laughs. “Whatever she wants to wear would be great.”
Speaking of women that are hard to forgive, the launch party also served as a peace ceremony between Usher and his mom Jonetta Patton, who chose not to attend her son’s Labor Day Weekend wedding, reportedly out of protest against Tameka, who is almost 10 years Usher’s senior. But when Usher thanked the guests for coming, he made special note of his mother, saying, “I introduced her earlier as Jonetta, but she is my momma.”
As for his own inspiration behind his fragrance Usher says, “I wanted it to be something that would supply the sophisticated woman with her scent and supply the sexy woman with her scent.”

Usher & Tameka Say “I Do”… Again

Though Usher and his bride Tameka Foster were officially wed in the office of his lawyer on Aug. 3, the R&B superstar still decided to do it up right, throwing a lavish bash outside his hometown of Atlanta, GA, on Sept. 1.
The event, attended by over 200 guests, including Oprah Winfrey, took place at the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort. One guest who was not in attendance at the wedding was Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, though no reason has been given for her absence.
Usher, 28, and Tameka, 37, are expecting their first child together later this year.
