Terri Seymour Attacker Admits Battery

The woman accused of attacking Terri Seymour in May after a taping of American Idol has pleaded guilty to one count of battery in an L.A. court, EOnline.com reports.

 

Simon Cowell’s ex said Janice Thibodeaux tried to choke her because she was mad at Simon for being mean to Paula Abdul.

 

Thibodeaux was put on three years of probation and ordered to complete an anger-management program. She’ll also have to undergo a psychological evaluation and complete 36 hours of community service. On July 16 the court will examine the findings and check out proof that she’s enrolled in the anger-management classes.

 

The restraining order obtained by Terri last month is also still in effect.

 

Terri Seymour Seeks Restraining Order

After a woman allegedly assaulted Terri Seymour after a taping of American Idol last week, the Extra correspondent has filed a restraining order.

 

The document filed in Los Angeles County Court claims that 33-year-old Janice Thibodeaux, who faces charges of misdemeanor battery and assault for attempting to choke Terri last Tuesday, is likely to attack again, E! News reports.

Terri says she was "viciously assaulted" by Thibodeaux, who has since "sought publicity for her wrongful act and stated to the media that they were intentional and that she does not regret them."

 

Simon Cowell’s ex wants her alleged attacker to stay100 yards away from her home, place or work and car and pay in excess of $10,000 to cover her attorney fees.

In an odd turn, Terri also wants the woman to be barred from her child’s school and care center, despite the fact that she has no kids. Maybe she’s preparing for the future?

 

The documents also detail how it all went down again, as Terri says the Idol fan followed her for 10 minutes as she exited the Nokia Theatre before attacking her from behind, "putting her into a headlock, wrenching her neck and choking her with the full force of her 200-pound frame."

"[I] could have been seriously injured or killed," she states.

A hearing on the restraining order has been scheduled for June 16. Thibodeaux’s arraignment on the charges is set for June 4.

Terri Seymour Opens up About Attack

Simon Cowell’s ex Terri Seymour had a frightening event last night after the taping of American Idol, when a woman attempted to choke her.

 

"It was all so sudden.Very scary," she tells Extra of the incident, which occurred after she was done covering the show for Extra. "Nothing like this has ever happened to me before."

Terri says she was standing outside the Nokia Theatre along with Extra producer David Geha, her assistant and friend, when a 33-year-old, 200 pound woman approached her.

 

"She came over to me and said, ‘You’re that girl from TV, right?’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’The next thing I know, this woman had me in a headlock and tried to choke me."

 

But Terri wasn’t about to just let the woman hurt her, even as Geha came to her aid.

 

"I yelled out, ‘What are you doing?’ and I lunged at her. She let go and took off running."

 

Police were on hand at the taping, something Terri says she’s grateful for.

 

"The police were fantastic," she says. "They were close by and managed to catch her."

 

The suspect was booked on a felony battery charge and is being held on $52,703 bail.

Tracking Device Found on Cowell’s Car

It looks like yet another American Idol judge has a very creepy stalker.

Just a few weeks after an obsessive fan was found dead near Paula Abdul’s home, a tracking device has been discovered under Simon Cowell’s car in London.

The Idol star is said to be "completely freaked out" about it, according to British Web site, Mirror.co.uk.

The Brit first became suspicious because a mysterious motorcycle kept showing up a few minutes after he arrived for private meetings.

And when his full-time security team searched the Bentley Continental, they found the sophisticated device attached to the underside with magnets.

So far the identity of the stalkers remain a mystery.

 

With the British version of Idol, the X Factor, in its final weeks, could it be gamblers hoping to get inside info (after all, a listening device was found under a table at his other talent show, Britain’s Got Talent)?

 

Or maybe a crazy pap hoping for a scoop after Cowell’s break-up with long-time girlfriend Terri Seymour?

According to the site, Simon is thought to have an idea who planted the gadget. And he’s really mad.

He is said to be planning to sweep his home for other devices, and may call in police to help with the investigation.

St. Regis Resort, that’s where!

Terri, who’s been dating American Idol judge Simon Cowell for five years, took some time off to unwind at the gorgeous resort on Monarch Beach, sandwiched between Los Angeles and San Diego. And she sure got the star treatment! The 33-year-old got a stone massage, shot some holes-in-one (or tried to) and received five-star service, which was "amazing."

 

"They genuinely do want to help," she tells OK!. "It’s not forced."

Not to be found around was Simon, whom she’s known for 15 years.

 

"He’s such a character — shall we say that I knew from the beginning what he was about," she says.

 

So will she be Mrs. Simon soon?

 

"No, absolutely not!"

Five years into their relationship, Simon Cowell and his girlfriend, Terri Seymour, are still going strong, so why ruin a good thing? The Extra correspondent tells OK! not to look for an invite in the mail.

“We’re not going to get married,” Terri tells OK!. “We’re very happy as we are.”

Marriage may not be in their future, but family is — for the most part. The 33-year-old hopes to hear the pitter-patter of little Terri and Simon feet eventually, but the acid- tongued American Idol judge, 47, may need some convincing.

"He’s never wanted kids, but I do. I want kids somewhere down the road."
