The Office 100th Episode
April 15th, 2009Cloris Leachman Kisses and Tells!
February 4th, 2009
A kissing scene between actors isn’t shocking at all, but watching 82-year-old Cloris Leachman make out with fellow guest star 39-year-old Jack Black on Sunday night’s special post-Super Bowl episode of The Office was just a little bit weird.
Not for Cloris, however, who dishes the goods on her lip-locking moments to Celebuzz.
"He’s a wonderful kisser," the Dancing With the Stars alum says, adding that the duo even practiced their clinch before filming began.
"We did a little bit," she reveals. "We spent about half an hour in my dressing room discussing it."
(Discussing, eh? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?)
As for her fellow guest star, Jessica Alba, who loses Jack’s character to her grandmother, Cloris think it’s just a matter of taste.
"I guess to some people I might be considered hotter," she says. "All’s fair in love and war."
Amy Poehler’s New Show Revealed!
January 26th, 2009
Amy Poehler fans, set your DVRs for April 9: The former Saturday Night Live star has a new show, likely to be called Public Service, set to air at 8:30 on NBC. The new series was originally slated to debut after the Super Bowl, but Amy’s pregnancy pushed the start date back a few months.
Amy will play a mid-level local government official – we’re thinking a Michael Scott-esque public servant – and will be starring with The Office alum Rashida Jones, as well as Aziz Ansari.
Although Public Service is the brainchild of Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, both of whom worked on The Office, the twosome insist it’s not a spinoff, as there’s nary a Dunder-Mifflin employee in sight.
Only time will tell!
Emily & John Flaunt Their Love at Sundance
January 22nd, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff
While at Sundance, new couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski could barely contain their public displays of affection!
The pair arrived hand-in-hand at Village at The Yard’s T-Mobile G1 Dinner on Jan. 16 and kept "smiling and winking at each other" once inside says an insider.
While his relationship with Emily, 25, is still new, a pal of John, 29, tells OK! The Office Star’s ex Rashida Jones is heartbroken. "She really, really liked him," the pal says.
Meanwhile, it’s not all play and no work for Krasinski. The actor is at Sundance to promote his new film Brief Interviews for Hideous Men, which he both wrote and directed.
Of the film, Krasinski said recently, "I never wanted to be a writer, never wanted to direct anything," Krasinski said. "People talk about being a triple threat. I’m still working on being a single threat! Acting’s what I love the most."
Steve Carell Buys General Store
January 15th, 2009
What economic crisis?
Steve Carell has just purchased a general store in Massachussetts.
The Office Star bought the Marshfield Hills General Store, located on Massachussett’s south shore, 25 miles south of Boston.
Carell, 45, has put his sister-in-law Tish Vivado in charge, but says he’ll be picking up a few shifts here and there as well.
"I will be manning the cash register, and stocking the shelves as time permits!" Carell wrote in an email to The Boston Globe.
The actor says he bought the store as more of an emotional investment than a business one, and as an opportunity for him to preserve a piece of Americana.
The actual building is 155 years old. The store’s previous owner said she sold it to Carell after she was confident he wanted it "for the right reasons" and would preserve its original character.
The Office: “It Just Keeps Getting Better”
January 12th, 2009
Listen up, fans of The Office, and set your DVRs for after the Super Bowl: Kate Flannery, who plays Meredith on the popular NBC comedy, tells OK! that a very special episode is set to air right after the Super Bowl.
"I’m really excited about it," she told OK! at the BAFTA/L.A. 15th Awards Season Tea Party on Jan. 10 in Beverly Hills. "I think our producers and writers have completely outdone themselves. I feel like this special episode is going to capture a whole new audience of people who have never seen us before. I think this is a homerun."
Er, maybe she means a touchdown?
The hour-long episode will also feature a mini movie within the show, starring Jessica Alba and Jack Black, who Kate says were "cool" to have around.
"It’s going to be a great Super Bowl and all I can say is that I hope people are not too wasted by the end so they’ll actually watch!" she jokes, adding, "Wait, it’ll probably be funnier if they’re all drunk. Bean dip, booze and beer, I mean come on."
All jokes aside (which can be hard when dealing with such a hilarious show), Kate stands behind The Office 100 percent.
"What’s great about our show is that it just keeps getting better," she tells OK!. "That’s very rare in TV. I’m so proud to be a part of it."
