Johnny Depp Ready to Say ‘I Do?’

Wedding bells will be ringing for Johnny Depp and his longtime love Vanessa Paradis–that is, just as soon as she decides on a rock!
"Johnny got Vanessa a drop-dead gorgeous engagement band but she returned it to the jeweler," a source tells OK!. "She wants her ring to be absolutely perfect."
The Sweeney Todd star, 45, has talked openly of his aversion to marriage while Vanessa, 35, and mother to their two children, Jack, 6, and Lily Rose, 9, says, "He’s got me and he knows he’s got me." But the couple is changing their tune.
A decade after meeting while he was filming The Ninth Gate in 1998, Johnny and Vanessa are close to finally making it official.
Johnny, who briefly wed makeup artist Lori Allison in 1983 before a string of failed engagments to Winona Ryder, Sherilyn Fenn and Jennifer Grey, and a turbulent relationship with Kate Moss,visited a Southern California high-end boutique to look at an "assortment of classic solitaire diamond rings in platinum settings", finally making a "very large purchase" on Dec. 10.

Is Johnny Depp finally making an honest woman out of his long-term girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis?
Though the Pirates of the Caribbean star has said, “I don’t feel like I need a piece of paper that says I own her and she owns me, ” the 45-year-old may have had a change of heart.
Sources tell OK! that the actor had a high-end Southern California jewelry store shut down so he could privately shop for engagement rings on Dec. 10 for Vanessa, mom to his children, Lily Rose, 9, and Jack, 5 – and that he made a “very large purchase.”
“This was Johnny’s third or fourth visit to the store,” a source tells OK!. He looked at an assortment of classic solitaire diamond rings in platinum settings – a really beautiful selection of elegant and understated rings.”
Johnny, who met Vanessa in 1998 while filming The Ninth Gate, praises the French singer for giving him “proper perspective and understanding” after failed engagements
to Winona Ryder, Sherilyn Fenn and Jennifer Grey, and a tumultuous relationship with supermodel Kate Moss.
“We just have a miraculous understanding of each other,” he’s said.
Denied: No June Wedding for Depp

Once again, the internet is rife with rumors that actor Johnny Depp is set to wed long-time girlfriend, French actress Vanessa Paradis. This time, reports say that the camera-friendly couple are planning to tie the knot at the house of actress Sandra Bullock on quiet Tybee Island, near Savannah, GA.
However, like all the previous wedding rumors surrounding Johnny and Vanessa, this appears to be just wishful thinking. “There is no truth to these rumors,” Depp’s publicist Robin Baum tells OK!.
The couple, who began their relationship in 1998, when Johnny was filming The Ninth Gate in Paris, have two children, a daughter Lily-Rose, 9, and a 6-year-old son, Jack. Before his rise to stardom, Depp had been married to makeup artist Lori Anne Allison for three years.

Johnny Depp Brushes Off Oscar Talk

With all the buzz over his performance as a convicted barber/serial killer in this month’s Sweeney Todd, it’d be safe to assume Johnny Depp is a shoo-in for an Oscar nomination come next month. But not one yearning for the trappings of success, the actor, who’s twice been nominated for a golden statuette, says he’s not getting ahead of himself.
“They say my job is done on the film,” Johnny tells Extra. “It’s none of my business what happens after that.”
The musical, in which the 44-year-old plays the title character, marks Johnny’s sixth collaboration with quirky director Tim Burton, but it could’ve chronologically been their fourth if all things went according to plan.
“Tim dropped the CD off at my house six years ago and then waited to ask me if I wanted to do the movie with him,” Johnny says.
When filming finally commenced on the flick earlier this year, it wasn’t without obstacles either. Johnny’s daughter, Lily-Rose, 8, was admitted to the hospital for a severe illness, causing Johnny to take a two-week leave of absence and production to halt. Now that she’s recovered, the star, who also has a son Jack, 5, with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, isn’t taking any moment for granted especially with the holidays coming up.
“Hanging out with the kiddies," Johnny says of his holiday plans. "Wait for Santa Claus."
