Brad Pitt Thinks “Jen is Great”

January 7th, 2009

Listen up, everyone: there is no battle going on between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston. At least, according to Brad Pitt, who defends the mother of children for saying they fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith – a move that prompted Jen to dub her "uncool" – while still lauding his ex-wife.

“Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart,” Brad says in a new interview with W magazine. “I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”

And the busy father of six doesn’t shy away from his former wife either, claiming, "We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”

As for the timeline involved in when he and Angie got together, specifically, whether he and Jen were still together, Brad is out to clarify the situation.

“What people don’t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year,” the explains. “We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”

Cameron Diaz: “I’m Not Afraid to Be Happy”

April 10th, 2008

Cameron Diaz is a Hollywood golden girl. She’s got the body, the resume and a laugh that can disarm the most serious of sorts. But underneath the goofiness, the actress is a deep thinker.

"I’m just kind of taking more time getting to know myself," Diaz, 35, reveals in the new issue of W magazine. "It sounds so corny that I can’t believe I even just said that but, you know, there comes a time when you really have to get to know who you are… I’ve just been figuring out what interests me and spending time with people who are important to me and being present in my own life."

Currently shooting the film My Sister’s Keeper, the project is a departure from Cameron’s usually quirky, upbeat roles. In the film, the actress plays the mother of a seriously ill child who conceives a baby to be a donor match. But despite it’s somewhat ‘downer’ theme, Cameron wants to make it very clear she doesn’t take her career or herself too seriously.

Following My Sister’s Keeper, she says, "I envision a full year off, just living life and having fun. It’s the best thing."

She adds, "I think sometimes people are afraid to say that they’re happy — they feel guilty about it. My life isn’t perfect. I have my struggles; everybody does. But I want to appreciate all of the amazing things in my life. People should have the right to be happy."

And one of the things that makes Cameron happy is Las Vegas!

"I loooooove Vegas," she gushes. "It’s such an easy trip from L.A., and there’s always a hotel room because there’s about a billion of them — but honestly, you don’t even really need one if you’re just going for the weekend!"

Jen Vs. Angie… All Over Again

October 17th, 2007

The new issue of W magazine features a glamourous shot of Angelina Jolie on the cover. No… Wait, it features Jennifer Aniston. Hold up a second — the glossy mag decided to go all tabloid on its readers for the November issue and print separate editions: One with Brad Pitt’s current squeeze and babymama Angie; the other with ex-wife Jen.

Apparently, the issue, dubbed the “Art Issue,” features a portfolio of photographs by lensman Richard Prince, who has shot both the former and (possibly) future Mrs. Pitts.

So, it’s once again time to take up side in the Team Aniston/Team Angelina battle. Where do your allegiances lie?
