Kate Moss Shocked by Pregnancy Rumors

February 16th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff

Kate Moss has been looking extremely curvy lately, and all right around her belly!

But despite rumors that the party-girl model is pregnant, Moss insists she’s just gained weight. In a new interview with New York Magazine, Moss addresses the pregnancy claims and says it couldn’t be farther from the truth.

"I just put on a couple pounds and they went in the right place," she says. "I’ve just started wearing bras. It’s a miracle. Great timing for my lingerie collection. I’ve just grown breasts."

Moss says she is not expecting a child with boyfriend Jamie Hince, but admits the added curves do make her feel more womanly. "I am a woman now. It’s true. Honestly, I’ve never worn a bra in my life. Ever! It’s so awful, even my friends are phoning me up and saying, ‘Are you pregnant?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’ Isn’t that weird? Now I can fill a B-cup." She then adds, "My boyfriend might not like them. I’m a bit worried."

The model laughs off claims that she parties too much, saying, "I haven’t partied since…last Friday."

Moss also had some harsh words for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Recalling last year’s Met Ball in NYC, when she and fashion designer pal Stella McCartney had to wait in line for an hour, she said, "Tom and Katie just walked right up to the front and we were like, ‘Who the **** are they? They’re not even in fashion!’"

To make up for the slight, Vogue editor Anna Wintour has reportedly invited Moss and designer Marc Jacobs to co-host this year’s event.

Take that Tom and Katie!

Jess Sees the Funny Side of Weight Gain

February 12th, 2009

It seems that Jessica Simpson’s reported weight "scandal" is weighing heavily on her mind - even influencing her wardrobe decisions.

When she took the stage tonight at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, there were no more tight jeans and tops like the ones in those now infamous snaps from a Jan. 25 chili cookoff
in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Instead she wore shorts covered by a long, loose top in slimming black. Jess even joked with the audience that she had decided not to wear pants because she was worried they would tear!

"I was worried my pants would rip tonight!" she joked with the crowd.

Supporting country hitmakers Rascal Flatts, Jessica seemed back on her game after a shaky performance last week in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

There were no more of the fumbled lines or do-overs that her rep had explained away as Jess being a "perfectionist." But she did seem at pains to silence the rumors that she and boyfriend Tony Romo had split. Jess peppered her nine song set with lovey-dovey references to her Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau, who didn’t seem to have made the trip to the Big Apple.

Introducing "You Are My Sunday," she said, "You know there’s something about being in love that makes you happy to be alive every day. It’s OK if it’s Groundhog Day if you’re in love. Well, that’s kind of how I feel right now."

And in what seemed to be nod to the recent gossip about her weight, Jess told the audience that when she’d played Madison Square Garden in the past, her pants had ripped.

"So I wanted to wear something tonight that I knew wouldn’t split!," she laughed.

That’s it Jess - don’t let the haters get you down!

Kim Kardashian Furious Over Jess Weight Attacks

January 30th, 2009

Kim Kardashian is raving mad over the media scrutiny Jessica Simpson has been getting since pictures of her looking plump hit the internet.

While she’s very busy partying it up down in Tampa, Florida, for this weekend’s Super Bowl, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star managed to take some time out to write a refute to all the critics on her official blog.

Kim writes:

"I was doing Super Bowl interviews for my Leather & Laces party I’m hosting down here in Tampa, Florida, and EVERYONE seems to be asking me about Jessica Simpson’s alleged weight gain. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous!!! She is not fat at all and I am actually offended that people are giving her such a hard time over this!"

Kardashian pleads, "LEAVE HER ALONE!!! First of all, her outfit was FABULOUS! I loved that Fendi leopard belt with those high waisted jeans. She is so drop dead gorgeous and the fact that the media is sending this message out to young girls is mind blowing!

I am probably twice Jessica’s size, so what do you guys think of me then???"

Hmm, how to answer that one…

Nick Lachey Stands Up for Jessica Simpson

January 30th, 2009

Almost as soon as critics started commenting on Jessica Simpson’s weight after she appeared in tight denim high-waisted jeans onstage recently, her friends and family stepped up to defend her, including sister Ashlee Simpson and brother-in-law Pete Wentz.

And now even more support is being sent her way, from a slightly unexpected source – ex-husband Nick Lachey, who usually keeps mum on the topic of Jess.

"I wish her nothing but the best and I hope she’s happy – whatever size that comes in,” he tells Extra. "I can’t believe it’s this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it. I’ll never cease to be amazed by people’s reactions to things.”

Nick is all about spreading good will these days: He’s currently in Tampa, Fla. with Jimmie Johnson to kick off Super Skins Celebrity Golf Classic, which will raise money for the Nick Lachey Foundation and Jimmie Johnson Foundation.

"The point is for everybody to have a chance to earn some valuable money for their charity," he says. "Everyone who played last year, had such a great time, [they] came back this year. We’re very fortunate."

It seems like the entire Simpson clan is rallying to Jessica Simpson’s defense since pictures of her looking a bit on the plump side hit gossip blogs.

Now, Jess’s brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, who is in Tampa, Florida, to perform at Tampa’s NFL Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash, is speaking up on her behalf, telling Extra that the media scrutiny over Simpson’s figure is uncalled for.

"I think the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general and I think it’s a bummer," he says in the interview. "It’s bad for young women. I see it affecting young girls who come to our shows and that’s a bummer."

And even though his wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, is a stunner, Pete says that’s not what it’s all about.

"Real beauty is on the inside, man," he says.

Well said, Pete!

Tony Likes Jessica’s Curves

January 27th, 2009

Jessica Simpson has been keeping her body under wraps lately — literally! From bulky sweatshirts to oversized shawls, the 28-year-old pop star turned country singer has been happy dressing down in front of the cameras.

But on Jan. 25, Simpson traded her baggy looks for a snug tank and jeans, debuting a noticeably fuller figure while performing at the 99.9 KIIS Country Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines, Florida. "People are saying she put on a few pounds," DJ Scott Simon, who interviewed Simpson that day, tells OK!. "But she looked fabulous. Confident, healthy and happy."

Indeed, the singer sent a statement to critics: She loves her curves! "I’m not fat," Jess recently confessed to a pal. "Going from a size 2 to a size 8, that’s not fat. If I weren’t Jessica Simpson, no one would care."

Jessica’s confidence no doubt comes from her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, 28. "He thinks Jess is hot no matter what," a friend of the singer tells OK!. "He wants to date a girl who can have a few beers, ribs, fries and dessert."

And it seems Jessica is more than happy to indulge Romo’s wishes. "She’s not willing to trade having fun with Tony with being a size 2," the friend says. "She doesn’t want to have people focus only on her looks."

And now Ashlee Simpson has joined in to defend her sister Jess against the critics focusing on her weight, posting on her official web site:

"I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight.  A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?

I seriously doubt it.

How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?

Now can we focus on the things that really matter.

-Ash"

Oprah: Getting Fit for Obama!

December 17th, 2008

Tipping the scales at 200 pounds, Oprah Winfrey recently admitted of her weight, "I’m mad at myself. I’m embarrassed." As Inauguration Day approaches, Winfrey – who has said she finds Barack Obama inspiring, has vowed to shed her extra weight.

OK! has learned exclusively that Oprah is determined to lose 15 pounds before the swearing in of her close friend on Jan. 20, and is doing so with the help of another one of her allies, fitness and weight-loss guru, Bob Greene.

The talk-show host, 54, has admitted to putting on 40 pounds since 2004. In the January 2009 issue of O Magazine, Oprah confesses she hit rock bottom while standing between Tina Turner and Cher during an April show-taping in Las Vegas.

"I felt like a fat cow," she says. "I wanted to disappear."

But now with Greene’s help, the daytime diva plans to get her fitness plan back on track.

"Oprah knows the rules," Bob tells OK!. "I have five weeks. She’ll be aggressive and lose the weight in a healthy way."

The key to Bob’s plan? "She needs an hour of cardiovascular excercise six days a week. Crunches are done every day. That’s the core excercise."

In addition, three or four days a week, she’ll do 15-20 minutes of strength training. Although a malfunctioning thyroid diagnosis earlier this year is partly to blame for her weight gain, the TV queen is learning to change her diet.

"She became a sneak eater," a close pal of Oprah’s tells OK!. "She nibbles at events and parties. You never caught her eating fattening foods in public."

DWTS: Battle of the Bulge!

October 31st, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

There’s a serious weight war going on backstage at Dancing with the Stars! Dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Louis Van Amstel recently criticized fellow pros Lacey Schwimmer and Cheryl Burke for gaining weight – and now, the women are fighting back!

Maks, 28, kicked off the war of words, revealing in a recent interview, "When I first saw these women this season, I said, ‘guys, you know the camera adds 10 pounds. You have to do something about this.’"

Louis, 36, added that they had to "deal with the consequences" of gaining weight. But the women insist to OK! that they look just fine! "You don’t have to be a size zero to be beautiful," says Cheryl, 24. Weight, she says, "is a really sensitive subject, and it’s important that women out there feel good about themselves."

Lacey, 20, who admits to making fast food runs with dance partner Lance Bass, tells OK!, "As a woman and a dancer, I am happy with the way I look. While it is unfortunate that two of my colleagues were compelled to express opinions about my body and the bodies of other talented women on DWTS, I suppose they are entitled to them."

In the meantime, Maks has admitted regret for speaking out about his co-stars, writing on his blog, "My comments were taken out of context. I apologize to both girls for I have nothing but respect for what they do on the show."

Jessica: Heavier & Happier!

September 23rd, 2008 / Author: OK! Staff

Spilling out of her snug white corset, you’d expect Jessica Simpson to feel a little uncomfortable as she performed songs from her new country album, Do You Know, at the L.A. County Fair on Sept. 20.    But, despite looking noticeably heavier in the same outfit she wore just weeks earlier, country’s newest star has hardly been singing the blues!

In fact, a pal tells OK! that Jess has finally found peace with herself and her body, whatever the size!

"She’s done depriving herself and missing out on life just to fit into a size 2 jeans," the friend says.  "She doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with the way she looks."

One of the reasons the singer is feeling more comfortable may have to do with a certain Dallas Cowboys quarterback!   Jess’s boyfriend, Tony Romo, reportedly loves her curvier look and has encouraged her to not take life so seriously.

"Whether she’s catching one of Tony’s games, or just hanging out with him, she’ll throw back a couple of beers, eat some pizza and just have fun," the singer’s friend says.  "She is just in a different place than she used to be and her weight gain is a reflection of that."

Jessica herself recently confirmed her newfound sense of self, saying, "It’s nice to know a guy loves you for who you are."

These days, it seems the buxom blond has different priorities on her plate.  Gone are the strict diets and six-day-a week workouts.  "Her main focus is her country career and finding happiness," a friend of the singer tells OK!.  "She just wants to settle down, start a family and live her life."
