We can almost hear the signature witty banter and neurotic, navel-gazing chatter and charm now: Freida Pinto and Josh Brolin filmed a scene for an as-yet unnamed Woody Allen film earlier today in London.

Naomi Watts became the latest in a long line of blonde leading ladies, including Scarlett Johansson and Mia Farrow, to star in a Woody Allen film when she began work on the director’s latest project. On Thursday, Naomi and Anthony Hopkins shot scenes for the yet-untitled flick on the streets of London, which has become Woody’s city of choice in recent years.
Move over ScarJo — there’s a new muse in town!
A pal of Woody Allen has told OK! that Slumdog star Freida Pinto would be perfect to replace Scarlet Johansson as the veteran director’s semi-official inspiration du jour.
The Annie Hall director — who has for decades picked a young woman from the Hollywood scene to help shape his creative vision — has made a string of movies with Scarlett, including Match Point, Scoop and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
But he has just cast Freida to star with Josh Brolin and Naomi Watts in a movie that will begin shooting in the summer.
And Marshall Brickman, who wrote some of Woody’s biggest movies, thinks that she could easily fill the Lost In Translation star’s shoes — and join the ranks of past muses including Mia Farrow and Diane Keaton.
Speaking at at Guild Hall Academy of the Arts 24th Annual Lifetime Achievement Awards, Brickman says that his friend looks for "high intelligence, sexual attraction, mystery and box office potential" from his muses.
And does the Slumdog star fit the bill?
Well, duh! (Actually, we’re paraphrasing).
What Marshall acutally said was: "Oh God — she’s spectacular, she really is."

Even if Mickey Rourke doesn’t win the Oscar on Sunday night, he has earned a little bit of loving this weekend from the Hollywood community, as he took home the Best Male Lead trophy at the Independent Spirit Awards for his work in The Wrestler.
In a hilarious, profanity-filled acceptance speech, the controversial actor dedicated his award to his recently deceased dog, Loki, and singled at his pal Eric Roberts as the next actor deserving of a comeback vehicle.
"Eric Roberts is the f***ing man and he deserves, like i got, a second chance," Mickey told the audience.
The year’s comeback kid also made a joking (we hope) threat to The Office’s Rainn Wilson, who had donned Mickey’s Wrestler gear earlier in the ceremony to perform a song parody of the film. "I’m gonna beat your ass when I get outta here," he hollered toward the backstage area.
Mickey’s speech inspired the night’s final presenter, Alec Baldwin, to say, "I want back into the movie business so bad… I gotta get dog, start working out, drop a lotta f-bombs on live TV."
Additionally, The Wrestler won the night’s big prize, Best Feature, and Best Cinematography for Maryse Alberti.
One of the night’s other notable winners was Milk, which was honored with wins for James Franco in the Best Supporting Male category and Dustin Lance Black for First Screenplay.
In his acceptance speech, Black said he hopes the success of the film will help bring the issue of gay rights to the forefront, saying, "It’s time to achieve [Harvey Milk's] dream and have full and equal rights for gay people across America."
On a lighter note, Best Supporting Female winner Penélope Cruz regaled the audience with an amusing tale of how it was more important for Vicky Cristina Barcelona director Woody Allen to deal with the sudden appearance of a mole on his hand than it was to be on-set for the day she shot her much-hyped makeout scene with Scarlett Johansson.
Speaking of Penélope, when her fellow Supporting Female nominee Rosie Perez took the stage later to announce the Best Foreign Film winner, she declared, "I just wanna say that I hate Penélope Cruz… Congratulations, you fly bitch!"

In the new issue of Allure Magazine, Scarlett Johansson speaks frankly about her supposed feud with Lindsay Lohan and her oh-so-quiet wedding to husband Ryan Reynolds.

Of fighting with Lindsay, Scarlett says, "I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like three times in my life," says the actress, 23, who incidentally lost the lead role in Parent Trap to Lohan when she was 13.
For those who don’t remember, Lohan reportedly scrawled some obscenely descriptive words about Johansson on a NYC bathroom stall two-and-a-half years ago. Of that incident, Scarlett says, "That’s what I heard. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar–I mean, shockingly so, like ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’"
Other than Lindsay, there are actually many Scarlett fans out there. One of them being, of course, acclaimed writer/director Woody Allen who continues to cast the blond bombshell in his movies (most recently Vicky, Cristina Barcelona).
Of being called Allen’s muse, the actress says, "I’m just lucky to fit into the ‘young woman’ category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn’t me, it would be someone else."
Another big fan is singer Katy Perry, who reportedly penned her hit song "I Kissed a Girl" with Johansson in mind.
"I had no idea [about the song] — I should get a cut!" Scarlett says. "That’s flattering, but my lips are kind of taken."

Taken by none other than hottie Ryan Reynolds! The private couple, who began dating last year and tied the knot at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort near Vancouver, Canada, on Sept. 27, are reportedly now planning a reception for family and friends in the US.
When asked how she and Reynolds, 32, met, Scarlett stays mum: "Nobody knows. It’s private. It’s our story."
She is considerably more open about a new tattoo on her forearm–"It’s kind of personal," she says. "It’s a sunrise, and it makes me happy when I look at it."
Usually when you read about Jen Aniston having a private dinner with an infamous, Oscar-winning ladies’ man, it’s the start of months of romance rumors. But let’s hope that’s not the case with her dinner date Tuesday night — legendary director Woody Allen.
Sneaking in through an underground garage with a couple of security guards, the former Friends star joined the Vicky Cristina Barcelona director and his wife, Soon-Yi Allen, along with her rep, Kevin Huvane, for a dinner meeting at chic L.A. eatery Madeo.
The foursome sat together in a booth at the back of the restaurant while Jen’s security studs stood watch at the bar. Jen dined on Dover sole while chatting with Woody about an upcoming project.
"He didn’t show her a full script," one witness tells OK!. "But he did hand her four or five pages of dialog, which had her laughing hysterically. They were all really enjoying themselves."
If Jen was hoping to take the script home to mull over, she was out of luck. "After she finished reading her pages, Woody took them back," reveals the witness.
At the end of their 90-minute meeting, during which no contracts or paperwork of any sort were involved, Jen and her guards slipped quietly out the back.
