May 6th, 2009 / Author: OK! Staff
If Sherri Shepherd starts showing up on The View with a black eye in the coming months, you’ll know why — the outspoken comedian is planning on becoming a pro wrestler!
Last week, when WWE SmackDown came to Madison Square Garden in NYC, the talk show co-host showed up to be in the corner of her major crush, wrestling superstar MVP.
And when she told OK! about her experience in the squared circle, she joked that she now wants to moonlight as a wrestler herself!
Sherri said that being in MVP’s corner as he fought Dolph Ziggler, was "one of the best experiences" she’s ever had.
"I didn’t even want to leave," said Sherri. "I was asking [WWE head honcho] Vince McMahon, can I join?"
And while the 30 Rock star said she enjoyed feeling like a rock star in front of 17,000 screaming fans, it sounds like she kind of liked unleashing her violent side as well.
"I’m in love with MVP and Dolph Ziggler just kept messing with MVP, and he came over [to Sherri's side of the ring] and he wanted me to kiss him and I was like, ‘kiss you? I’m trying to get a kiss from the other one.’ And I just whacked him — and it felt good!"
"I used some of the moves that MVP had taught me and it felt good. I was like oh my goodness, I think I broke his jaw I was so mad. It was a lot of pent up frustration. A lot of pent up sexual frustration," she laughed.
And what is going to her signature finishing move when she’s beating down her rivals?
"The booty pop drop," she tells us. Of course it is.

Sherri Shepherd in WWE Smackdown?
April 23rd, 2009
Mickey Rourke might’ve been nominated for an Oscar for his performance in The Wrestler, but he’s not the only celeb interested in stepping into the ring these days. Sherri Shepherd, co-host of The View is a big fan of WWE’s MVP, a six-foot-three, 249 pound wrestler, who is, according to her, "goooorgeous."
"I don’t know if he’s married or single but i’m going to find out," she told her fellow View ladies recently. "I want to be Mrs. MVP."
Apparently he’s a fan of hers as well, as the WWE announces she’ll make a special appearance on "WWE Friday Night Smackdown" on May 1, airing on MyNetworkTV.
The event will end with Sherri "getting in the corner with WWE Superstar MVP."
This could be interesting, to say the least.
OK! Interview: WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy
December 28th, 2007
Jeff Hardy has been a wrestling mainstay for the last decade. He was first known as one half of the popular wrestling duo the Hardy Boyz with his older brother Matt. Now,he wrestles solo and admits that there’s a still a few things he’d like to try, including acting. OK! caught up with the powerhouse at a Toys for Tots event in New York City where he said, "Jeff Hardy, he’s kicking it for Toys for Tots."
You’ve been wrestling for quite a while now — how would you say it’s changed over the years?
Kinda, you know, still living the dream, but it does become a job because there’s a lot of responsibility attached to it. More than anything, that’s it. It’s a busy life, there’s no off-season, you know? We’re on the road all the time.
What was your worst beatdown?
The Undertaker’s beaten me down pretty bad quite a few times. The Great Khali always serves up a good beatdown if you can’t get out from under that heavy hand. The Undertaker more than anybody though.
Who’s been your biggest victory?
Actually, this past Sunday when I beat Triple H, The Game, for a number-one contender opportunity. By far, that’s been it.
What’s in store for you in ’08?
There’s a lot in store. We got a huge WrestleMania in Orlando coming up, that’s something to look forward to always. I’ll try to apply myself again with some kind of mad, crazy, high-risk maneuver. Just continue to rock, continue to be healthy.
Some wrestlers have gone into acting, would you like to do the same?
I would love to get into acting. I really enjoy acting — portraying other personalities and approaching different levels and whatnot — that would be awesome.
What kind of movie would you like to do?
Comedy. For sure. Show the other side of Jeff Hardy that many people have never seen.
