Leave it up to Lady Gaga to make another bizarre fashion statement. The Grammy winner sported a blue merkin and blue underarm hair to match her new blue mane last night when she took the stage by storm on the Much Music Awards.

Gaga really sent out a visual message during her performance of her smash hit "Born This Way" on the 2011 Much Music Video Awards stage.

She placed focus on the natural beauty of body hair — in particular pubic and armpit hair as she sported a blue merkin and fuzzy blue armpit hair.

Her female backup dancers, however, appeared to have unshaven armpits and did not wear merkins.

Gaga won the UR Fave: International Video award for "Born This Way" and took home a second award in the category of International Video of the Year: Artist, for her single "Judas" during last night's ceremony.
