This season’s Shear Genius contestants give OK! their verdicts on Hollywood’s most dramatic new ’dos
Hair today, gone tomorrow — that’s the fate faced by 11 of the 12 top stylists on season three of Shear Genius, starting Feb. 3
on Bravo. Overseeing all the blow-dry drama is new host Camila Alves (girlfriend of Matthew McConaughey).
“We have contestants from all over the world, and the level of talent is higher than any other season,” promises Camila, who will decide,
alongside hair pros Jonathan Antin and Kim Vo, which competitors make the cut.
“They all have such strong stories,” Kim tells OK! of this season’s fresh faces. “There were two, right off the bat, who were vastly different from each other but equally menacing, and that’s the true spirit of a hair salon — a motley crew.”
Revealing two of this season’s big personalities, Jonathan says, “You almost can’t help but notice Jon, because of his voice, his
brashness. You only have that level of confidence when you’ve earned it.
“With Amy, I knew the ‘sweet little girl’ thing was an act... she’s a serious competitor — and a tough one.”
But before anyone gets “the chop” on TV, OK! asked the contestants to play judge with these three striking celebrity transformations.
